Smart TV reset Netflix-app

Problem

You have a Smart TV and Netflix is not behaving correctly. You want to reset it but don’t know how.

I had this problem when removing a profile from Netflix but my smart tv was still using that profile and so it gave a connection error.

This is what worked for me…

Solution

  • Start the Netflix-app. It wil give the connection error and a button that will return you to the main screen. Don’t press that button but do the following…
  • Press the following sequence on your remote: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, up, up, up, up
  • You will get a screen with customer information and a button for Deactivate and a Back button. Press Deactivate.
  • Now restart the Netflix-app.
  • Login again
